Assistant General Manager at VIBE Greenpoint
Job Overview: The Assistant General Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth front desk operations and impeccable cleanliness of the gym facility. They oversee daily check-ins, greetings, intake, check IDs, accounts, inspections, maintenance logs, customer service, and operational efficiency at the front desk and café areas.
Responsibilities:
Facility Upkeep:
- Conduct daily walkthroughs and inspections of the facility.
- Maintain cleanliness standards and manage maintenance repair logs.
- Ensure daily cleaning of men's and women's bathrooms, including lockers and supply closets.
- Must maintain clean sidewalks, curbs, and parking lots.
Employee Management:
- Schedule employee postings and ensure job descriptions are understood.
- Provide new hires with employment packages and training.
- Monitor and enforce company policies.
Membership Management:
- Track membership expirations and engagement.
- Develop retention strategies for members who are at risk of leaving.
- Follow up on payment issues.
- Will work closely with the General Manager to insure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous sales, front desk, and customer service experience: Required 2 Years
- Must be reliable, professional and responsible.
- People person with an interest in health, fitness, and sports.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Bilingual: English and Spanish speaking a plus.
